This morning, while choosing a deck of cards for the daily reading that I do on my Instagram channel (the channel is free and everyone is welcome to join!), this fortune dropped from my shelf. I picked it up, looked at it, and thought to myself, “what are the chances?” since there actually is going to be a Friday the 13th coming up.

“Beware of Friday the 13th That's your unlucky day Whenever it rolls around Bolt the doors and indoors stay.”

Many years ago, I received this fortune from the Grandmother’s Predictions machine in Coney Island (it’s similar to Zoltar and is actually located right next to a Zoltar machine).

A Brooklyn Tradition

As a tradition, every time I go to Coney Island, I go over by the Wonder Wheel to get my fortunes and I always save them. At that time, a Friday the 13th was coming up as well, so I listened and stayed home, you know, just in case.
