The Chiromancy of Edmond

La Chiromancie d'Edmond from 1868 faithfully translated for the first time ever into English, in color and modeled after the look of the original book.

Jules Charles Ernest Billaudot (born in Poilly-sur-Serein on August 17,1829, died in La Chapelle-Vieille-Forêt on May 20,1881), also known as Edmond or Mage Edmond ("Mage" is believed to have been added to his name posthumously by Marcel Belline), was a famous French clairvoyant who is said to have been the clairvoyant for certain prominent 19th century personalities including Alexandre Dumas, Napoleon III, Empress Eugénie, Eugène Sue and Victor Hugo and he is rumored to have been a student of Mademoiselle Lenormand.

Edmond is also reputed to have designed the Belline Oracle and the Grand Tarot Belline.

This book contains 222 diagrams depicting various signs and symbols that are often encountered in the palm and what they are said to indicate for the prediction of one's future. These diagrams are taken directly from Edmond's personal illustrations of actual palms that he read and documented.

In lieu of lengthy instructive text, this book allows the reader to jump right in to start reading palms right away with the use of the diagrams as a reference guide. This book can prove to be an excellent resource for anyone interested in palmistry from beginners to experts and can be a great addition to the collections of those interested in the works of key figures who have contributed to tarot history.

"Etteilla", the pseudonym of Jean-Baptiste Alliette (1 March 1738 – 12 December 1791), was a French occultist who made a significant contribution to the esoteric development of the tarot.

This groundbreaking collection presents three of Etteilla's works translated for the first time ever into English offering readers unprecedented access to his thoughts on alchemy and Hermetic philosophy.

• The Seven Nuances of the Hermetic-Philosophical Work - A practical guide through the seven stages of the Alchemical Great Work along with Etteilla's complete book catalog and price list for his professional services. Also includes philosophical axioms, some of Etteilla's observations on Freemasonry and mention of an Unknown Philosopher (but not Louis Claude de Saint-Martin).

The Manuals to learn to read the Petit Etteilla Cards Available in English For the First Time Ever!

In the realm of tarot and cartomancy, few texts are as seminal as Etteilla's foundational works on divination with playing cards, yet they have been inaccessible to the English speaking world for hundreds of years.

For the first time in over 250 years, the foundational works of Jean-Baptiste Alliette (Etteilla) on divination with playing cards are available in English offering readers unprecedented insight into his cartonomancy system. This complete translation brings together Etteilla's seminal texts from 1770 and 1773 that established many principles of cartomancy and tarot still used today.

"Etteilla", the pseudonym of Jean-Baptiste Alliette (1 March 1738 – 12 December 1791), was a pioneering French cartomancer whose innovative approach to divination with playing cards (which he later went on to apply to the tarot) laid the groundwork for modern tarot and card reading practices. His detailed explanations of card symbolism and sample spread demonstrations created the foundation upon which centuries of cartomantic tradition would build.

This volume contains complete English translations of:

  • "Manière de se récréer avec un jeu de cartes" (1770)
    and the expanded edition:

  • "Etteilla, ou la Seule Maniere de Tirer les Cartes" (1773)

I had the great honor of writing a preface for Mathieu Ravignat's The Way of the Rose+Croix, History, Doctrines and Oratory Practices of the French Rosicrucian Tradition.

It was a great privilege to contribute to such an important and monumental work.

Mathieu is a dear friend and one of my absolute favorite contemporary authors. Congratulations to Mat for such a beautiful accomplishment!

It is my hope that these comprehensive volumes on the Rose+Croix Tradition - the most extensive ever written in English to date - will find their way into the hands of serious practitioners and students who can truly benefit from these authentic materials that have been largely inaccessible until now. Available now on Amazon.
